What is success?? Is there a formula to achieve success? Are there critical ingredients in the recipe for success? Is success achieved through luck?
I believe that success is varied on perception … is it achieving or accomplishing set goals, buckets of cash, or favorable or desired outcome? Whatever your perception of success is, one thing you should always remember is that for your business to be successful you need to follow a certain road to get there. We all hope that we will be able to achieve success especially in our lives and in our businesses, but sometimes the road to success seems to be paved with difficulties and events that we do not forecast.

In my opinion, this should not be the case. You should measure the success of your car wash from what it should be doing on a daily basis. Your marketing plan should be to produce a great car wash that will make people want to come again. This starts with your employees. The employees’ appearance and customer service is the key ingredient. If you base your business on this goal then there are not many other reasons that your car wash cannot be successful.
Sit back, put your thinking cap on and make sure you stick to your business plan. We see a lot of people veer away from their plan because of outside influences or fear that it is not working. You need to give it time and just stick to the plan. Do your homework on existing washes that are successful and bring those concepts to your vision. By this we do not mean to build across the street from these successful washes but instead, bring their success to your market.
